You can quickly get from one city to the next using the UTA Buses, the Light Rail or commuter rail system. If you're in Salt Lake City, there's a free fare zone in some downtown areas There are some other option for student to travel around the city, Student can take a local taxi or Uber/Lyft.

Most of colleges student got free access for UTA public Transport all you need to do is just use your student card to tap in and out when you entering the TRAX or buses. If you are planning to go to other city lets say from Salt Lake City to Provo you might need to buy a front runner train passes.
